Saucy Goodness!
The Bowling Club is a truly SAUCY place.
Our pantry is PILED HIGH with sauces. We use them to add depth to the meals we share... and even to spread flavour around our homes. Now, you can bring Bowling Club flavours home with you too!
We fill 300g vacuum-sealed jars of our sauces. We always have our staples like our 'Tutti-Frutti' hot sauce, and we have dozens of rotating specialty sauces. So, get your saucy goodness while it's here!!

Here are our current sauces & jams on offer:
1 / 'Tutti Frutti' Hot Sauce
We reckon chilli has a lot of fruity flavour to it. To complement this, we've mixed chilli with nectarine, pineapple juice and mango. It’s The Bowling Club’s signature hot sauce that really lifts a meal. It is not overpoweringly hot, but flavoursome & full-bodied.
2 / 'Cheryaki' Sauce
Cheryaki is a cherry teriyaki. Kind of like a cross between plum sauce and teriyaki. We take Central Otago cherries & plums and mix it with miso, toasted sesame seeds, ginger, and Chinese five spice. Plus a little chilli. The result is a tangy and delicious dipping sauce that is fantastic on meats.
3 / Beetroot Relish
Your classic beet-relish. Thick grated beetroot with a little onion, homemade apple cider vinegar, herbs and horseradish. We've added chia seed to thicken it up!
4 / Caramelised Onion & Balsamic Jam
To make this batch, we roasted 120kg of onions for four hours in our oven. Then, we added it to the pot with apple puree, balsamic vinegar & a little rosemary. We've snuck in a bit of our ‘Szechuan chilli paste’ to give it some warmth and savouriness.
5 / Tomato & Balsamic Ketchup
A great little sauce that adds tang and savouriness to your meal. It's not like any old ketchup… you can add it to your meat or chips and not ruin a gourmet meal. It's ketchup, but fancy.
6 / Roasted Kūmara & Sweet Corn Relish
This relish seems unorthodox, but it's fantastic. The roasted kūmara & sweetcorn complement each other perfectly. We've added peach to enhance the fruitiness of the kūmara, and jalapeño to tie it all together. Chuck it in a sammie, serve it with corn fritters, or bang it on a toastie!
7 / Apricot, Apple & Banana Jam
All made from fruit processed at The Bowling Club + sugar. Nothing else. A lovely apricot-based jam with banana to give it a fruity lift.
8 / Nectarine, Kiwifruit, Blueberry & Blackcurrant Jam
A beautiful jam with a tang. Excellent on toast & scones or dolloped on natural yoghurt. Made with local fruit and sugar… nothing else.
9 / Mulled Cherry Jam
Think mulled wine, but in jam form. Cherries spiced with cloves, allspice, cardamom, ginger & cinnamon. Plum gives it a perfect tang. The kiwifruit & apple provide pectin to allow the jam to set.
